The current EC has served its
mandated one-year term. An election will be conducted for all the
posts including President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer,
Cultural Secretary, and Members-At-Large (2). Please note the following
points about the election.
a. Any well-wisher of Bangla-O-Biswa (BoB) can run for
any of the above-mentioned posts. If you choose to do so, please send
your request with your name, contact information, and the position you want to
run for to BoB (banglaobiswa@gmail.com)
no later than June 10, 2008. Your information must be received by
this date to ensure timely preparation of ballots and other arrangements.
b. The voting will be conducted per the guidelines set forth in the BoB
Constitution. If you wish to obtain a copy of the constitution, please
send an email to BoB (banglaobiswa@gmail.com).
c. Although anyone can participate in the GB proceedings, only members (who
has paid the membership fee) of BoB can vote in the
elections.
