Annual Membership

Bangla-O-Biswa is a membership based premier non-profit, tax exempt organization registered under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal revenue code of 1954, serving the Greater Boston area. Bangla-O-Biswa is committed to serving its members and offers annual membership to join the organization. Being a non-profit organization, our aim is to balance our income with our expenditures.

Thus, the membership fee is adjusted every year depending on our expenditure.

To become a member, you have different options to choose from that best fit your requirements. Payments can either be made by check to “Bangla-O-Biswa” at the Picnic or Durga Puja event or Online as below

Please note that Bangla-O-Biswa does not have a pro-rated membership system. Our membership is for one year and starts on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year.

It is a membership-based organization that organizes the below major events each year along with other member-only/open to all events:

Durga Puja
Saraswati Pujo
Basanta Utsav/Kabi Jayanti

Along with other special events which are notified to its members as and when it happens.

Types of Annual Membership

Bangla-O-Biswa, for the year 2023-2024, offers the below types of Annual Membership at Normal Rates:

Bangla-O-Biswa Family Member.
Bangla-O-Biswa Individual Member.
Bangla-O-Biswa Patron Member.
Bangla-O-Biswa Grand Patron Member.

Early-Bird Membership Drive Bangla-O-Biswa is proud to announce its 2023-2024 Membership Drive. The Early bird rates are CLOSED now. This membership will be valid from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2024. Any event happening prior to 1st July 2023 will not be part of this membership. The Early Bird rates given below are even more discounted on top of the basic membership discount.

Bangla-O-Biswa Family Member — $350 for the Family.
Bangla-O-Biswa Individual Member — $210 for the Individual.
Bangla-O-Biswa Patron Member — $400 for Patron Family.
Bangla-O-Biswa Grand Patron Member — $550 for Grand Patron Family.

Membership Discount Apart from the below-mentioned benefits for different types of membership, by buying the membership upfront you are saving more than 10% of value compared to buying all the events individually. On top of that, we have more discounts as a part of the early bird drive which will end soon.

Member Benefits

Bangla-O-Biswa Family/Individual Member

Benefits of Family/Individual Member:

All regular events organized by Bangla-O-Biswa are free for all Members and their families, or the Individual in case of an Individual Member.
Member’s Family is defined as Husband, Wife, and 2 Kids below the age of 18 yrs. For any Kids above the age of 18yrs, we need to avail of an Individual membership apart from the Family Membership.
Members and their families will be invited to perform in various Bangla-O-Biswa-hosted cultural events.
Two adults and Two kids tickets for our concerts on October 21 (Bhoomi) and October 22, 2023 (Joy-Lopa) are included in the Family Membership.
One adult ticket for our concerts on October 21 (Bhoomi) and October 22, 2023 (Joy-Lopa) are included in the Individual Membership.
Each Member will have full and equal voting rights and privileges and the right to contest for the executive committee positions individually.
Members will be eligible to participate in the Annual General Body Meeting and will get a chance to review the Association’s events, its financial status, and any other matter that is important for the smooth operations of the organization.
Members participating in the Annual General Body will have the power to elect the Executive Committee, dissolve the Executive Committee, make specific recommendations to the Executive Committee and change provisions of the Bangla-O-Biswa Constitution.
With consent from the Members, their names will be published on the website and the annual magazine.
Members will be allowed to attend any other member-only events.
Members get preferred seating in the general section.
Members will get special discounted tickets in Bangla-O-Biswa organized Special Events.

Bangla-O-Biswa Patron Member

Benefits of Patron Member:

Patrons will get all advantages of a Bangla-O-Biswa Family Member as mentioned above.
Patrons will get premier seating in all regular events organized by Bangla-O-Biswa.

Bangla-O-Biswa Grand Patron Member

Benefits of Grand Patron Member:

Grand Patrons will get all advantages of a Bangla-O-Biswa Patron member as mentioned above.
All regular events organized by Bangla-O-Biswa are free for all Grand Patron Members and their families, including their parents/grandparents and 2 Kids below the age of 18yrs. For kids above 18 yrs of age, an Individual membership needs to be availed separately.
Grand Patrons will get VIP seating in all regular events organized by Bangla-O-Biswa.
Grand Patrons will be eligible to provide free advertising and other marketing materials on the website and the magazine.
